I am a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Konstanz, Germany. I hold an MA and a PhD from the University of Zurich. In my dissertation I focused on the causes and consequences of policy responsiveness towards ethnic minorities in democracies worldwide. I specifically analysed the effect of descriptive representation on policy responsiveness and the consequences thereof for political stability (political support and ethnic protest). My current research agenda extends questions of responsiveness beyond ethnic minorities and includes other population subgroups such as electoral losers, socio-economic groups, and immigrants. Furthermore, I address the conditionality of responsiveness with MP experiments.
